We are seeking your feedback on the planning proposal to make minor amendments to Bega Valley Local Environmental Plan 2013.

Background

Council has resolved to place on public exhibition a planning proposal to implement several minor amendments to the Bega Valley Local Environmental Plan 2013.

The objective of the amendment is to update references, correct omissions and make several minor administrative amendments regarding property references and zones, permissible uses and approval pathways, heritage schedule items and changes to clauses to protect amenity and character relating to new development.

Comments about the planning proposal are welcome during the exhibition period which runs from Friday 5 June to Thursday 2 July 2026

Details of the proposals can be viewed on Councils website at www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au Minutes of Council - Wednesday, 25 March 2026 on the ‘Have your say’ page or on the NSW Department Planning, Housing and Infrastructure planning portal at Planning proposals | Department of Planning and Environment (planning proposal number PP2026-814).

Council is authorised as the local plan-making authority to exercise the functions for this planning proposal.
