We are seeking your feedback on the Revised Stage 1 drafts of the Comprehensive Review of the Bega Valley Development Control Plan 2013 (Comprehensive DCP Review).

Background

All development applications in the Bega Valley Shire are required to consider Bega Valley Development Control Plan 2013 (DCP 2013) as a matter for consideration under Section 4.15(1)(a)(iii) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Council has commenced a thorough review of DCP 2013. The Stage 1 drafts were previously exhibited in August 2025. Since that time, the drafts have been revised and are now being re-exhibited.

Stage 1 seeks to amend or replace the existing sections of the DCP listed in column 1 with the draft DCP listed in column 2:

The Stage 1 revised drafts are supported and exhibited with revised stormwater guidelines that are referenced in the drafts and will supplement the DCP.

Feedback to the Revised Stage 1 drafts of the Comprehensive DCP Review are welcome during the exhibition period which runs from 5pm 28 May to 5pm 18 June 2026.

You can request that your name and address not be disclosed by writing “objection in confidence” on your submission, however Council may still be obliged to release these details. Submissions that do not contain the author’s name and address may not be considered as Council will be unable to validate their authenticity.
